Reiki, meaning "universal life force energy", aims to improve health and enhance quality of life. Reiki is pure energy, brings about deep relaxation and healing and is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.

Reiki treatment follows a traditional pattern of hand positions, resting without pressure on or above the body. Reiki is not massage, hypnosis or a tool for diagnosing illness. Reiki is a technique that addresses both chronic and acute conditions, gently and powerfully promoting balance among all the body’s systems and the normal regenerative processes of the body and mind.

During a Reiki treatment, the client, wearing loose, comfortable clothing lies on the table (fully clothed) with closed eyes (however the technique is adaptable so that you can receive it in almost any setting including a chair or through casts/bandages and in any state of health.) Little or no pressure will be applied and no oils will be used. The practitioner will simply place their hands on or above your head, shoulders, back, chest, stomach and limbs.

The Reiki Master then channels energy into their body, beginning at the head and moving down to the feet. Practitioners are “tuned up” to be able to collect and pass on universal energy to their clients. Reiki treatments are a very relaxing experience and many people fall asleep during this soothing experience of healing.

A session usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. For stress reduction one to two sessions are satisfactory, however for chronic conditions long-term treatment may be recommended.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki clears blocks and imbalances within the energy system and emotional body. Reiki induces deep relaxation, increases a sense of wellbeing, relieves pain, stress, anxiety and depression. It supports the entire physical, mental and emotional sate of the client.

Reiki complements all other forms of treatment and will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism.

Chakra Reiki

Chakra Reiki treatments are different to normal Reiki in that they incorporate Aura Cleansing products from the range of Aura Soma essences, which create deeper and more focused healing and reduce the chances of a healing crisis after the treatment.

At the beginning of the session, the client chooses one of the Aura Soma Chakra bottles which is then placed on their body (along with the opposite bottle) on the area containing the corresponding chakra.

A normal Reiki treatment is then given, but the client receives an extra boost as Reiki energy is sent through the bottles. Specific Aura Soma pomanders and quintessences are also incorporated during and at the end of the treatment, which clean the aura and provide protection for the client.
