Nutrition
Nutrition is the science that establishes the relationship between a person’s diet and their levels of health. People that specialise in this are called nutritionists or dietitians.
The body requires six main things in order to function correctly: carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and water. These all need to be consumed on a daily basis. If one of these becomes low or deficient, a negative impact occurs on the body and illness or a general feeling of being unwell may result.
If you are not getting enough nutrients on a regular basis, the shortage can show up as a range of physical or mental or emotional symptoms – sometimes these are mistaken for sickness, anxiety or just ‘old age’.
Providing the missing nutrients can bring about rapid improvements. Even better, taking a well thought out set of nutrients on a regular basis can prevent the appearance of these problems in the first place.
Almost every physical problem and many emotional/mental problems have some sort of nutritional angle as a part of the problem, and the solution.
