Damien Osborne
Massage Therapist, Homoeopath
Damien is a skilled massage therapist who offers clients a tailored blend of remedial/deep tissue, acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy massage styles in each treatment to ensure the best results. He has been working as a remedial therapist for six years.
He is also a qualified Homoeopath, and has been practicing for four years.
What Damien does
The initial homoeopathic consultation normally lasts one hour. This time is spent asking many questions – not only on your presenting complaint, but on all aspects of your medical history, health, life and experiences and details of any current medication or other treatments. Anything that you can tell your homeopath about yourself is useful and enables Damien to find the best individualised remedy for you.
After your first consultation, Damien will spend time analysing your case to select the appropriate homoeopathic prescription for you. Homoeopathic medicines are made from a variety of sources, such as plants, animals and minerals, and aim to treat the whole person as an individual, based on information the client provides about symptoms, behaviour, emotions and situational responses. Find out more about homoeopathy.
Follow-up consultations of approximately one hour duration are normally recommended on a monthly basis to assess how treatment is progressing and to review your remedy prescription.
Homoeopathy does not focus on disease diagnosis, but on the totality of the symptoms and individual as a whole, and because of the nature of this initial consultation, clients often find it therapeutic in itself.
Problems treated
Homoeopathy can be of benefit for all ages, at any stage including pregnant women, mothers, fathers, babies, young children, teenagers, and the elderly. Homoeopathy can treat the symptoms of a wide range of conditions including acute complaints such as coughs, colds, earache, food poisoning, travel sickness; Chronic complaints such as skin conditions, hormone imbalances, depression, headaches, digestive disturbances, asthma, arthritis; and vague symptoms - where there are no identifiable causes of disease, but the person feels far from well.
Work – both physical and desk jobs - and other everyday activities, cause many people to experience neck and back pain, stiffness, soreness and loss of flexibility. These symptoms, along with old injuries, body tension, arthritis, RSI and sore shoulders, can all be helped by remedial massage.
