Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. Created in 1997 by Gary Craig, it involves tapping with your finger tips on specific acupuncture points whilst releasing negative emotions, feelings and beliefs.
EFT is a very versatile therapy that can be used on just about any problem, physical or emotional.
Unlike conventional counselling, with EFT we acknowledge our negative thoughts and feelings while we tap the acupuncture points. This tapping balances energy meridians that can become disrupted when we think about or experience an emotionally disturbing circumstance. Once balanced, the pain is gone.
EFT is a gentle technique. Often an issue can be so painful that you might not want to re-live the past. With EFT you only have to be tuned into a problem to start seeing positive results.
EFT is useful in treating:
• headaches and migraines
• weight issues
• fears and phobias
• pain relief
• quitting smoking
• panic attacks
• traumatic memories
• grief and loss
• bad habits
• relationship issues
and many, many more.
EFT will often work when nothing else will. It can bring complete or partial relief in about 80% of cases on which it is applied. Often the improvement is permanent. There are no drugs, surgeries, radiations or other medical interventions involved in EFT.
Using just a few minutes of EFT will often improve your physical health. Relief can occur with EFT no matter what your diagnosis.
